D is for Determination
20/02/10 11:45
Webster's Dictionary defines determination as "firmness of purpose". Hmmm......
Truman, my puppy brother, REALLY wanted to go upstairs. Upstairs is where I go for night-night. So Truman really, REALLY wanted to get up the stairs to me. So he tried and tried and practiced and practiced how to climb the stairs. Finally, after many efforts and many falls, he made it to the top of the stairs. Sigh.....now there is no place in the house I can go to get away from him! BUT I do respect Truman's determination.

D is for Devotion

Webster's defines devotion as;
"Love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity or cause."
Here is how I would define it:
devotion = dog
What are you devoted to?
Let me know in the comments below.

C is for Courage
08/02/10 05:42
Webster's defines courage as: "the ability to do something that frightens one."
It may surprise you to learn that even I - a superhero - have to at times summon up courage.
What frightens me? Thunder, plastic bags, puppy Truman when he pounces on me without warning.
For the thunder and paper bags I rely on my people to help me get through the scary times.
For puppy Truman I put on a fierce face, snarl, and he goes away.
Maybe those are the keys to finding your courage; let others help you through things you may find scary OR put on a brave face and make those scary things go away!

C is for Cat!!!!
01/02/10 04:55
What is a cat? Just think about a dog and then picture the exact opposite!
Now I know some of my readers are cat owners and that is fine with me.
I personally have no problem with members of the feline persuasion.
Just don't ask me to share a house with one and all will be fine.
There is a black and white cat that comes into MY yard at times and sits under MY bird feeding station. This requires me to be extra alert so that I can warn MY bird friends of possible cat attack.
I kind of envy the cat's ability to roam through the neighborhood while I have to stay in my yard. But that's okay, it's a small price to pay for the privilege of being a dog.
And all things considered I would much rather be a dog than a cat. Why?
Because dogs RULE!!!!
